!! Notice to members of the public !!
If you come across a swarm of bees, or if bees have moved into your property, please call Shane, Larry, or any (numbers below).
Don’t panic, honey bees are quite docile when in swarming mode. Their bellies are full of honey, they’re under the spell of the queen’s pheremones, and they’re not interested in stinging or chasing you.
Please be aware and considerate of the fact that we are a small group of hobbyist beekeepers, and we will do our best to help out where we can.
We are not a professional bee collection/rescue service, nor are we part of, or paid by any government agency.
Please be polite and patient if possible when you call us, as sometimes we’re busy and can’t respond immediately.
We operate in County Carlow only. If you’re in an area outside County Carlow, please contact your local association.
If you’re unsure if it’s bees or wasps, or would like more information on bee swarms visit www.irishbeekeeping.ie/swarms.
Thank you kindly.
